This is a stable unfinished example/prototype of what I am working on as a solution to the death of Flash and the alpha channel FLV/F4V container. It's almost 2020 and there is still no true suitable cross-browser replacement for the technology.

In some ways this method surpasses Flash because it brings transparent video to mobile, so pull this up on your phone!

Now it's not without issues. Latency, event handling on mobile, and required user action are a real problem but so far I've been able to solve for some of those issues to make this as pleasant of an experience as possible. As much as I love doing things like this I have to ask: is having this on mobile a good idea?
